Beximco to Bring Immunity Against COVID-19 with 30 million Vaccine Doses

When will the coronavirus come to an end is one of the big questions running in everybody's mind. One may not be in a position to say with certainty when the COVID-19 causing virus will disappear forever. However, steps can be taken to bring down the number of cases and bring in greater immunity against this virus. 

In Bangladesh, such steps are being enthusiastically taken. Organizations like Beximco Group have started engaging in initiatives like the obtaining of 30 million vaccine doses which will bring immunity against COVID-19 in Bangladesh. 

How Beximco Aims to Prevent COVID-19 in Bangladesh?

Beximco is one of the organizations that have in different ways contributed for making Bangladesh better. Recently, in Dhaka, an MoU was signed among the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the Serum Institute of India and Beximco Pharmaceuticals. As per this memorandum of understanding, as many as 30 million vaccine doses will be sold to Bangladesh when they have been prepared. 

The health ministry will receive these vaccine doses via Beximco. In multiple depots, these doses will be stored. Many people hope that this is a big step. According to Beximco Group, 15 million citizens will be given the vaccine dose. Then after a period of 28 days, another dose will be given. Each month, it is hoped that 5 million doses will be provided. 

With so many doses of the vaccine, many people of Bangladesh will be able to attain immunity against the virus that causes COVID-19. When a large number of people are able to attain immunity, the chances of a spike in the cases will reduce. Thus, the government of the country will be able to focus better on the cases which already exist. Gradually, with greater recovery, a reduced number of the affected people can be hoped for.

The corona virus pandemic of 2020 has caused much damage. The cases of the affected people are still rising. With steps and initiatives taken by Beximco, it is hoped that a positive change will come about and we will see the pandemic ending soon.
